AKF has been active in sport promotion as a vehicle for education and as a vehicle for peace in Pakistan. “Sport has the power to change the world” – how true are these words of Nelson Mandela in a country with its fair share of problems. AKF began its “Peace through Sport” movement with Multi Sport. 

PES Program

The Alam al-Khayal Foundation (“AKF”) promotes Peace through Education. Sports fall within the ambit of Education.The PES Program has been commenced, initially, in the city of Lahore but hopes to expand all over the country.


 National Tournaments

AK has started a movement for Peace through Sport” Tennis Tournaments have been organized on district, national and international levels in the last year aiming to create an environment of peace, partnership and level-playing fields.


J T I Program

Tennis is one of the most popular and fashionable games in the world. It is easy to play  badly but with proper technique training, it is one of the most enjoyable games to play.  The Junior Tennis Initiative (“JTI”) was started by the International Tennis Federation. It now runs in over 100 countries worldwide.  JTI is also called Mini Tennis.

And He has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it shift with you, and rivers and roads, that you may be guided.(Qur'an,16:15)

To save the Rain Water

And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest.(Qur'an,50:9).

To make Forests Greener

And it is He who sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the growth of all things. We produce from it greenery from which We produce grains arranged in layers. And from the palm trees of its emerging fruit are clusters hanging low. And gardens of grapevines and olives and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at its fruit when it yields and its ripening. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.(Qur'an,6:99)

Barrister Nudra B. Abdel-Majeed Mian

Nudra B. Abdel-Majeed Mian read Law at Oxford University and the London School of Economics. She practiced at the Bar in England and taught international law at SOAS, London. She is also an Arabist and a writer.

Toby Thomas Landau

Toby T. Landau QC is a leading Barrister and Arbitrator in England and Singapore. At age 27, he drafted England’s law on international arbitration. He represents the UK government at the UN and has a rare insight into Pakistan politics, culture and society.

Jawad Nawaz Khan

A student, software engineer, architect, cartoonist, illustrator and a tech evangelist. Learning green architecture using indigenous techniques and materials to make lives more comfortable.
